ABOUT THE EVENT

The 2025 KATA Annual General Meeting (AGM)  & Convention will take place from June 26–28, 2025, at the PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort & Spa, in Mombasa.
 
Building on the outcomes of 2024 , this year’s event is themed “Going Further, together’. It will focus on the power of unity and partnership highlighting the importance of both horizontal and vertical partnerships in driving sustainable growth and addressing the challenges facing the travel industry. 

THE OBJECTIVE

This event will provide a forum for open presentations and discussions with content covering a broad range of topics focused on the future success and sustainability of Kenya’s travel sector. It will also provide a platform for policy makers in the travel and tourism industry to share knowledge and experience for collaboration with the travel trade.

EVENT OVERVIEW

Thursday, 26th June 2025 – Arrival & Masterclass (Optional)
The event kicks off on Thursday, June 26th, with an Optional Masterclass titled “The Art of Selling Cruise Travel”, offering valuable insights for travel professionals seeking to diversify their service offerings. Friday, 27th June 2025 – Convention Day 1
The first official day of the convention features the opening ceremony, keynote address, and a series of engaging sessions, including panel discussions on government collaboration and global partnerships. Delegates will also experience plenary talks, sponsor showcases, and the highly anticipated Airlines CEOs Roundtable. The day concludes with a themed gala dinner and live entertainment.
 
Saturday, 28th June 2025 – Convention Day 2 & KATA Annual General Meeting
The final day of the convention begins with a motivational keynote, followed by panels on modern airline retailing and transformative technologies like AI and crypto. After lunch and the official closing session, KATA members will attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM). The convention concludes with a celebratory gala dinner honouring industry milestones and collaboration.
