EVENT SUMMARY
The 2025 Annual General Meeting and Convention, held from 26–28 June at PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort, Mombasa, convened 350+ delegates from over 13 countries across Kenya, Africa, and the international travel community.
Under the theme “Going Further, Together,” the event highlighted the power of collaboration in building a resilient, inclusive, and digitally empowered travel ecosystem. It reaffirmed KATA’s leadership role in convening diverse stakeholders and influencing policy direction and professional standards within the travel sector.
Building on momentum from previous years, the 2025 AGM came with a renewed urgency for collective action. As the industry continues to rebound from the economic and operational setbacks of the COVID-19 pandemic, the convention provided a vital platform to evaluate recovery strategies, share success stories, and confront persistent challenges, while advancing innovation, regional integration, and technology-driven growth.
